Govt. Science College Dhaka, a renowned educational institution located at Farmgate of Tejgaon Police Station, the heart of the capital Dhaka and a densely populated area. Although it was renamed Intermediate Technical College in 1954, it was later renamed Government Science College. Built on 9 acres, this campus is currently one of the best colleges in Dhaka.

This campus is a huge treasure of natural beauty. There are very few such campuses surrounded by greenery in Dhaka. A combination of different types of plants on this campus looks great. There is a flower garden where there is a huge store of botany.
In addition, each department has its lab system. Each lab has modern equipment and experienced teachers. Regular students are given lab classes and are taught by hand pen. The daily attendance of students is determined by a biometric system. The whole campus is under CC camera.
Students
Science College has a total of 2400 students in the first year and second year. There are 1200 students each year. Divided into a total of 8 sections, a total of 150 students in each section took classes of 1200 students.
Teachers
At present, Govt. Science College Dhaka has a total of 44 teachers in different departments. Each of them has BCS cadre qualifications. All of them are sincere enough towards the students. Moreover, the teachers here are very student-friendly. They care about every student. At any time, students get help from the teachers in any situation. In addition, many teachers are writers of different books, and the books written by them are our lessons
Fees & Costs
Monthly fee and admission fee of the college are fixed by the government. They are taken at once at the beginning of the admission and its amount as a government college is within the reach of everyone.
- Admission fee – 4000-5000 BDT
- Session fee – 4000-5000 BDT
- Monthly Fee- 20 BDT (which is taken along with the examination fee)

Clubs
There are various clubs in the college and their activities are going on very vigorously. NCC and Rover Scout perform their duties in every function of the college and they also get the opportunity to attend various camping and seminars.

Respected teachers supervise each club. Besides, different fests are organized by these clubs at different times so that every college in Dhaka can attend and participate in the fest.
Residential facilities
Govt. Science College Dhaka has two residential halls for the accommodation of students outside Dhaka. The halls are also different for two different years. One is Kazi Nazrul Islam Hostel and the other is Dr. Kudrat e Khuda Hostel. Hall students have to deposit money for one year at the beginning of the admission. And the cost of food has to be paid separately every month.
The hall has very strict rules and very good security arrangements. So that the students do not have to face any difficulty or danger. The study environment is also good enough which is much better than a normal mess or hostel. Takes care of residential students all the time
- Kazi Nazrul Islam Hostel – 120 seats
- Dr. Kudrat e Khuda Hostel – 150 seats
- Monthly Mill Cost – 3000 BDT (Mill is closed on holidays)
Transport facilities
Besides, there are two buses named Spondon 1 and Spondon 2 for the permanent students of Dhaka. They run on Mirpur and Jatrabari, Sayedabad routes respectively.
Eligibility for admission
Students seeking admission to the college will need a minimum GPA of 5 as prescribed by the board. If you are below GPA 5, there is no chance of getting a chance. You may apply but you will not get a chance.
