Green Life Medical College .2005, about 50 distinguished physicians of the country started a Hospital to give specialized care in the private sector. They named it Green Life Hospital and it turned out to be a great success. So in 2009, they decided to make a medical college which will be a non-government, non-profit, self-financing project and will serve the humanity.This College came into existence in 2009. The college commences its activities with the enrollment of 51 students in the 1st batch in 2010.

The campus is located at 31 and 32, Bir Uttom K. M. Shafiullah Sarak (Green Road), Dhanmondi, Dhaka

Seat for MBBS students:

There are total 110 seat.

Distribution of Seats:

1. General quota :
Forty Eight Percent (48%) seats are available for the Bangladeshi candidates who can get admission
according to the merit score of Medical Admission Test published by DGHS, MOHFW.

2. Freedom Fighter :
Two percent (2%) seats will be available for wards of freedom fighters. For these seats, attested photocopy of appropriate documents should be submitted along with the admission form.
3. Poor and Meritorious :
Five percent (5%) seats will be available for the poor and meritorious category.
4. Foreign Students :
Forty-five percent (45%) seats are available for overseas students according to MOHFW mandate.

Green Life Medical College Campus & hospital :

The Medical College and the Hospital complexes have been raised in two multistoried fully air-conditioned buildings with an arrangement of approximately 500 beds for patient. The building is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, excellent with an out-patient department and adequate in-patient facilities.

It has fifteen storied own academic building , run its activities since January 2018, before that period all the academic activities were carried out in the hospital building. The medical college has 200 decimal lands in Purbachal new city for further expansion. There are five lecture galleries with multimedia, over head projector, and sound system facilities, and eighteen tutorial class rooms .For anatomy department dissection hall floor space is with 2500 square feet at 14th floor. There are twelve operation theatres including four teaching operation theatres. Among these operation theatres two at 9th floor and another two at 6th floor of academic building . Other eight operation theatres are at the 6th floor of hospital building. Along with these facilities there is a modern outpatient department complex at the level four of academic building and fifty eight (58) bedded free bed complexes at level thirteen (13) of hospital building. There are three museums and five laboratories and all are placed within the respective department of academic building. There is a large common room with lavatory facilities for the students of medical college Each year in MBBS course 5 %( total 6) of the local students out of 110 get full admission fees and tuition fees for full course (five years) waive as scholarship. Each year college authority organize annual picnic, sports competition and cultural program as extracurricular activities.

Admission fee:

For local students  = 16,20,000 (Sixteen Lacs twenty thousand Taka)

Internee Fee = 1,80,000 (One Lac eighty thousand Taka)

Monthly 8000 tk

For Foreign Students:

Total US $ 49,000 (US dollars forty nine thousand only)

US $ 25,000 (US dollars twenty five thousand) at the time of admission

US $ 24,000 (US dollars twenty four thousand) to be paid in four equal installments at the end of each year.

For Foreign Students:

  1. Your eligibility criteria for admission to MBBS course:
  • O-level (Equivalent to SSC) certificate: Minimum 5 subjects
  • A-level (Equivalent to HSC) Certificate: Must have Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • USA 12 grade completion certificate: Must have Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • Minimum GPA (After equivalency with SSC & HSC)= 7 (seven)
  • Minimum GPA in Biology= 3.5

2. You have to undergo in the following steps if you decide to get admitted into BMC.

a. Get the photocopies of the following documents attested from the foreign ministry of your country:

i. School/College graduation certificates

ii. Mark/grade sheet

iii. School leaving certificate (Testimonial)

iv. Copy of Passport

v. Two passport size photographs of applicant

b. Download ‘MBBS admission form’ from the website of Bangladesh Foreign Ministry(www.mofa.gov.bd) and fill it up. You must mention your medical college of choice.

c. Pay $60 (Subject to change) in any bank of your country in favor of DGHS and get the receipt. (For more info. Visit www.dghs.gov.org)

d. Deposit your attested documents, bank receipt and filled admission form to Bangladesh Embassy of your country for processing of Grade Equivalency and permission from Government of Bangladesh. You can do this job by yourself or by an agent.

e. Send copies of your certificates, mark sheets, passport and a letter of intention to Bangladesh Medical College office (Email or post) for advance booking of your seat

3. Having received the permission letter of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and grade equivalency of your certificates, Bangladesh Medical College (BMC) office would inform you and proceed with your admission.

4. Admission fee structure for the session as follows (change might occur  according to the decision of Governing Body).a. $25,000 down payment b. $6,000/year x 4 (Mode of payment would be informed)

Courses offered :

1. MBBS : The MBBS course has duration of 5 (five) years and follows the National Curriculum
(prepared by BMDC). The academic programme has been designed to cover all aspects
of medical sciences.
2. Nursing :

A. B.Sc Nursing : The B.Sc Nursing course has duration of 4 (four) years.
B. Post-basic Nursing : The Post-basic Nursing course has duration of 2 (two) years.
C. Diploma Nursing : The diploma course has duration of 3 (three) years.
